Homeopathic management of Reinke’s edema in a non-smoker: A case report

Introduction: Reinke’s edema, also known as polypoid degeneration of vocal cords, is a bilateral, symmetrical swelling the whole membranous part cords. Surgery has been mainstay treatment for edema. Thus, patients are often left with practically no non-invasive option. Case Summary: This case 40-year-old male, teacher, who presented hoarseness voice 1 year and opted homeopathic when he was advised surgery. A rapid improvement in symptoms, well significant objective confirmed video laryngoscopy. The results were seen within 3 months individualized treatment. One-year follow-up revealed complete resolution edema both report shows promising, intervention option such cases, wherein radical surgery consequent prolonged therapy could be avoided.
